Biography

William Phillips was born on May 1, 1812^[1] in Maryland^[2] to Thomas Phillips and Polly Wheatley.

On October 19, 1837, William married Henrietta Tomlinson in Ross County, Ohio.^[3]

According to the 1850 census, William lived with Henrietta and their children, Thomas, William, Elizabeth, Marshall, Cornelia, and Newton in Jackson County, Ohio.^[2]

William died on March 12, 1887. He is buried in the Evergreen Cemetery in Kinmundy, Illinois.^[1]
