Biography
Henry, the eldest child of Michael and Hannah Phillips was born on 27 April 1823 at the family home, Stroud's Cottage, Rotherhithe in Surrey. He was baptized at St Mary's in Rotherhithe on 22 May 1823.
Henry arrived in Australia on board Mentor 3rd July 1853, wife his 1st wife Emma & his sister Anne*3. Appears Emma died on the voyage. He married Eliza Dove 30th April 1863 *2. They lived on a small landholding of 492 acres, they named Sherwood. Now a place of local Historical interest. *4
