A SAD AFFAIR.
DUNEDIN., Aug. 2,
Ambrose Phillips-, who carried on business as a baker at Caversham for 30 years, threw himself in front of a train this evening, being killed instantaneously. Deceased and his wife had just returned by the train. Phillips had been melancholy lately, supposed to be worrying over the sale of his business at a loss. His wife is in a state of collapse. Deceased was 61 years of age and leaves a grown up- family [3]
