Biography

John was born on November 4, 1876 at Huntsville in Scott County, Tennessee. He was the son of Abner Phillips and Mary Fine ( McDonald ) Phillips . He married Luvernia Sexton on January 1, 1899 at Huntsville in Scott County. John passed away from arteriosclerosis and coronary thrombosis on January 15, 1956 at Oliver Springs in Roane County, Tennessee. His head stone says he died in 1955, His death certificate says 1956.
