William Phillips

Several William Phillips

There were also at least two other William Phillips, father and son, at Boston at the same time as this man.[1] Care must be taken not to confuse them.

Origin

William was born August 29, 1737 at Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. He was a son of John Phillips and Mary Buttolph.

Family

William married to Margaret Wendell, daughter of Jacob Wendell.[1]

Their son, John, was President of the Massachusetts Senate and the first Mayor of Boston.[1]

Death and Legacy

William died June 4, 1772 at Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.[1]
