James Alfred Phillips born circa 1848, the son of Frederick and Mary Jane Phillips of Northampton, New Brunswick[1] [2]

1861 Northampton, Carleton, NB - Frederick Phillips, 43, wife Mary Jane Phillips, 38, children James Alfred (13), Moriah Amelia (11), Albert Wellington (9), Harriet Elizabeth 6, Enoch Dow (5), Mary Teresa (3) + Ellen Mccarron (19) [3] James died August 30, 1887[4]

About 1872, he married Amanda Jane McLean [5], and their children included:
