Paolo Piazza is born and baptized 26 January 1802 in Corleone. He is the son of Don Francesco Piazza and Ignazia Grizzaffi. His godparents are Don Antonino and Donna Antonina Valenti, a married couple.
In the 1834 census, ‘’Donna’’ Ignazia, 66 (b. 1768), heads a household as you go up the strada di Maestro Paolo Gallo. She lives with her children: Carmela, 36 (b. 1798), ‘’Don’’ Giovanni, 34 (b. 1800), Giuseppe, 28 (b. 1806---he is actually 30), Paolo, 24 (b. 1810---he is actually 32), and Antonino, 21 (b. 1813---he is actually 24).[1]
Paolo marries Angela Saporito, daughter of the late Giuseppe Luca Saporito and living Rosa Vernagallo, and the widow of Maestro Carmelo Frisella, on 13 October 1838. Paolo is 34. His parents have both died by this time.
Although his marriage record does not call his father Don Francesco, the record of Paolo's death, does.
Paolo dies, reportedly at age 50 (he is 52) on 28 July 1854. His wife, Angela, survives him.
Angela dies at age 79 (b. 1815) on 14 April 1894. She is survived by her third husband, Giuseppe Canali.
