Jean was born on 26 March 1706, the son of Jacques Picard and Marie Anne Lefebvre, and baptised at Notre-Dame-de-Montréal on the same day.
In 1729 he married Marie Françoise Pigeon at St-François-de-Sales de l'Île-Jesus[1], but Jean died later that year and was buried at St-François-d'Assise-de-la-Longue-Pointe[2]. Marie Françoise gave birth to their daughter in March the following year, but she died in infancy.
