Joseph Heathcote was a Maryland colonist.

Joseph Heathcote was born 30 May 1660 in Derby, England[1]. He was the third son of Samuel Heathcote of Derby, born/died 21 Sep 1681 in Derby, England, and his wife Susannah Ridge-Heathcote also born/died in Derby England.

The youngest 5 children including Joseph, born in Derby England. [2]

Nephew of Nathaniel Heathcote of Anne Arundel

In 1684 he administered the estate of his uncle Nathaniel Heathcote (who had died in Maryland in 1682) on behalf of his elder brother Samuel.[3]

He died 03 Apr 1693 in, Baltimore, Maryland.

He married Martha Morgan (date and place unknown) daughter of Thomas Morgan. She married as her second husband Nicholas Fitzsimmons.

Martha, dau. of Thomas Morgan; she m. 2nd Nicholas Fitzsimmons; he d. by 3 April 1693 when admin. bond was posted by admnx Martha Heathcote alias Fitzsimmon, with William Wilkinson and Nicholas Corbin; est. was inv. on 8 April 1693 by said Wilkinson and Corbin and val. at ?187.7.0; est. was admin. by Fitzsimmons on 30 July 1694 and 6 Nov. 1694; his orphans owned 500 a. I added the Research Notes for the incorrect info of f-a-g and rootsweb Tree. I know the f-a-g Team will make note that we do not MATCH..

There is also their children, It appears that they had more than 2. So more research is needed to finish up the narrative.
