Biography

The first two references below give the birth date as about 1605 and the birth place as Plymouth Colony, Massachusetts. Either the date or place of John's birth must be in error since Plymouth Colony, British North America wasn't established until 1620.

The FamilySearch reference and the following one give a more likely birth date of 1606 in England, the date shown above. I've marked the birth date as approximate since 6 Jan 1606 is actually the christening date. (see last reference below).

He died on 16 Aug 1667 in Plymouth, Plymouth, Massachusetts. (FamilySearch reports the death as being at sea.)
