1761 Martin Pickett was lieutenant to William Edmonds Virgina Troops of the Fauquier Militia in the French and Indian War.[5]
1776 Lieutenant-Colonel Martin Pickett served in the Revolutionary War in the 3rd Virginia Regiment under Colonel Thomas Marshall[6].
