Elizabeth Bridges, Margaret Graham and Mary Rowsey; Thomas Marson and Rachel his wife 1,000 lbs. tobacco; exrs. Thomas Marson and grandson William Pierce; my son John Pierce the deceased father of grandson William; my wife Sarah one negro and her thirds.

Death: 7 APR 1702 in Washington Parish, Westmoreland Co., Va - Probate
On 21 December 1643, Captain William Pierce had a patent for 2100 acres of land at the mouth of a creek wich divideth the land from Baker's Neck near the dwelling house of the said Pierce, where the church now standeth, along James River to Grant Marsh wich divideth this land from Mulberry Island. On 1 June 1663, William patented 4054 acres of land lying on the north side of (the) Rappahannock River and on the east side of the main Rappahannock Creek

Due to an inaccurate merge, Sarah ended up attached to the wrong father, William Pierce, mariner of Massachusetts, who has since been replaced by her Virginia-based father, William Pierce (1631-1702).
