Research Notes
Caution Find A Grave memorial record shows an incorrect birth date for John of Dorchester. The wife, parents and listed children all appear to be correct. His birth date is not shown on his gravestone.

F.A.G. memorial image of very legible old Colonial slate hand carved gravestone which is partially buried in the ground and reads: "John Pierce who died Jan. 2_th ______" the latter death date is obscured by fallen leaves. While the photographer was kind to take the photo if the leaves had been pushed away the gravestone death date might have been completely legible. As it is this could be the gravestone of a different John Pierce aka Peirce.
