Biography
Alfreda Pierce was born in Orari in 1899. She was the eldest daughter of Alfred Pierce and Catherine Moore. [1]
Alfreda was educated at Orari school.
It is believed she did not marry or have children.
- Mr. and Mrs A. D. Moore, Lyttelton Street. Spreydon, entertained a large number of guests in honour of Miss Alfreda Pierce, Peach Grove. Orari, and Miss Irene Hart, The Cliffs, Rosewill. Mrs Moore received her guests wearing a handsome frock of black satin and chantilly lace, Mrs D. Moore silver tissue. Miss Alfreda Pierce grey georgette and silver lace, Miss Irene Hart girlish frock of bluish pink satin, Mrs A McLean seni black brocade and gold trimming, Mrs McLean, junr, jade satin; Miss T. McLean, very pretty shade of mauve velvet. Mrs Wicks, blue panne velvet. [2]
Alfreda passed away in 1961, aged 62. [3]
She is buried in Geraldine cemetery. [4]
