She was noted as born 1867-1868 in Mississippi as seen in this image of the original census. Mary Pierce was enumerated as daughter at Justice Precinct No. 1, Somervell County, Texas for the June 15, United States Census, 1880. She was noted as at home, born 1867 in Mississippi and single as seen in this image of the original census. Also included in the household are self W J Pierce, wife Catherine Pierce, son John A Pierce, son James Pierce, daughter Louisa Pierce, son Wm F Pierce, daughter Frances Pierce, mother-in-law Martha King and other Theodosia Pinkerton. Martha King and Theodosia are on page 25 of the original census.^[2]
