John Pierce migrated to New England during the Puritan Great Migration (1621-1640). (See The Directory, by R. C. Anderson, p. 264) Join: Puritan Great Migration Project Discuss: pgm
The parents of John Pierce of Watertown are unknown, but there is evidence showing that he came from Norwich, co. Norfolk.[1][2]
This John Pierce has been confused with a different John Pierce, a prominent Merchant Adventurer of London, famous for procuring the 1621 Patent for New England. He had business dealings with Plymouth Colony but never left England. It was this other John Pierce of London who was apparently the son of Richard Pierce, with the alleged ancestry back to the Percy family. See this website.
NOTE: He is not the same as John Pierce of Dorchester, Massachusetts.

Happy to land here! Fascinating. I'm Steve Pierce, descendant, son of Robert C., son of Charles S., son of Robert Clark, son of Pvt. Lawrence Brownell, son of Nathaniel, son of Simeon, son of Nathan, son of Sgt. John IV, son of Deacon John III, son of John (orig. immigrant from Norwich (if I've got it right)).
This John Pierce has been confused with a famous John Pierce of London -- see the note I added to the "Disputed Parents" section. If nobody objects, I'd like to detach his parents.
