Biography

Birth Abigail Pierce was born 20 Nov 1660, Woburn, Middlesex, Massachusetts to parents Thomas Peirce and Elizabeth Cole. Only her father's name is recorded in the birth record. ^[1]

Abigail was born subsequent to the death of her sister, for whom she was named, a fairly common practice.

Marriage and Children There are two Worburn town marriage record dates for Abigail; Abigail "Peirce" married George "Reed or Read" on 18 November 1684 at Woburn. ^[2][3] This is probably an uncorrected calendar record. And, Abigail "Pierce" married George Reed on 18 February 1685 at Woburn. ^[4] Abigail and George Reed's known children were:

Death At "age 58 years, 9 months, 17 days Abigail Reed, wife of George" passed away 20 November 1719 [uncorrected date reads 20 Sep 1719] at Woburn. ^{[5] [6]}

Caution: The Abigail born of Thomas and Elizabeth Pierce in Charlestown appears to have been the first born of Thomas & Elizabeth Pierce of early Charlestown and then Woburn, probably their first child, daughter Abigail Pierce, bap. 4 mo., 17 day, 1639, Charlestown, Mass. who must have died early:
