Biography
Eunice Pierce was born in Milton, Massachusetts, in 1787, one of nine children born to Rufus Pierce and Elizabeth Howe.[1]
She married Daniel Lord about 1815, and their first child was born the following year. They had five children:
- Martha Pierce, 1816-1900
- Eunice, 1819-1886
- George Washington, 1821-1825
- Thomas Jefferson, b. July, 1821
- Ellen, 1827-1903
The couple resided in Dorchester, Massachusetts, throughout their married lives, and all their children were born there. Eunice was a widow by 1855, when she lived in Dorchester with her daughter Martha Weymouth and her family.[2]
Eunice died at her home when she was 81 years old, in 1869.[3] She is buried at the Milton Cemetery in Milton.[4]
