David Pierce was born October 3, 1742, in Harvard, Worcester County, Massachusetts, the son of Daniel and Sarah (Buck) Pierce. Source citation is needed for this parental conclusion as his marriage record refers to him as David "Peirce", Jr.
According to his Find A Grave memorial, David was a soldier in the American Revolutionary War. This needs to be verified as there were a number of contemporary David Pierce identities.
The DAR patriot record lists David Pierce, a New Hampshire patriot with wife Sarah Whitney Maynard. Children: Alice, Luther, Calvin, Simon, Peter and Charles. [1]

Research Notes
-This WikiTree profile for David Pierce, b. 3 Oct 1742 was based upon an unsourced Find-A-Grave memorial. A Massachusetts vital record for his marriage to Mrs. Sarah Maynard has been added which styles David as David Pierce, Jr. suggesting, if accurate, his father was not Daniel Pierce, Sr. as has been asserted in the Find-A-Grave memorial. The marriage record source is an old very legible (for the period) hand-written Town Record. An attempt has been made to locate a David Pierce, Sr. identity which fits as a father to this profile but at this time without success.
-This profile shouldn't be confused with another contemporary who is the son of Ann Ritter (bap.1720/1) & David Pierce, Jr. (1726-1795) of Groton & Lunenburg, Mass. This David and Ann Pierce family resided in Lunenburg until 1770, when they removed to Fitchburg. He (David, Sr.) was a soldier in the (1776) Revolution." [4]
Their son David Pierce (David), of Lunenburg, b. abt 1752, married Sarah Stephens [Stevens], 23 Feb 1774, at Townsend, Middlesex, Massachusetts [5] (Townsend lies just north of Lunenburg, Mass.)
