Biography

Ann was born in 1836, the daughter of George Pierce and Lavina Campbell.

She married 1st Solomon Ervin Lewis (1830-1864) in 1853. They had five children.

She was recorded with James, Hannah, Rhoda, George and Solomon in 1870 in Carter, TN. Her name is transcribed as "Aura" but reads Anna.

She had a child with William B. Campbell (b. 1844); Arzilla, b. 1872.

Her Civil War widow's pension was then canceled because of this affair.

Toward the end of her life she lived with her daughter Arzilla who was married to William Andrews.

She died in 1922.
