Biography

Annora (Annor) (Amor) Pierrepont was the daughter of Sir George Pierrepont of Holm Pierrepont in Nottinhghamshire and his first wife Elizabeth, daughter of Sir Anthony Babington. The unusual name Annora originally belonged to one of her ancestors.[1] She was born 01 May 1538.[2]

She is said to have married John Rossell, with whom she had three sons - Anthony, Gervase, and Henry - although the evidence for this seems weak.
