She was the daughter of Thomas Pierson. She was born about 1572 in Westminster, Middlesex, England. She was married twice firstly to Sir William Bowyer[1], son of Francis Bowyer and Elizabeth Tillesworth they were married in 1589 in Westminster, Middlesex, England. She married as her second husband James Ley, 1st Earl of Marlborough in 1592 in Westbury, Wiltshire, England. She died in Sept 1617 in Westbury, Wiltshire, England and was buried on 5 October 1618 at Westbury, Wiltshire, England.
Listed as wife Marie, mother of Henry (deceased) and Robert, in the will of William Bowyer of Denham, Buckinghamshire dated 20 July 1614.[2]
