Note
Note:
William Pierson was born at Sagaponack, Suffolk Co., N.Y. (see father's location in town records of 1726) before 1728 (based on being at least age 14 when he witnessed his first land transaction in 1742). He witnessed land transactions at Southampton, which his father Abraham also witnessed, in 1742 and 1752. He is the first son mentioned in his father's will in 1779 which was proved 31 Jan 1787, but he did not inherit his father's home lot. His brother Silas, who was not mentioned in the will inherited the home lot probably before the will was written. On 2 Jul 1787, William was among the signers of an agreement between the residents of Bridgehampton and Rev. Aaron Woolworth. (Pierson Millennium)
