Pierson-1124 and Pierson-955 appear to represent the same person because: Consulting with Clare Pierson, West Coast, New Zealand we determined that Stephen Pierson was likely born in 1720/21 and not in 1728/29. Also Stephen Pierson likely had two wives. Stephen Pierson did not die in 1769 because he was around for the 1776 evacuation of Long Island to Connecticut. He was also around care for his grand children Elias Worden (1777), Asa Worden (1779), etc... sons of Jersuha Pierson & Dr. Isaac Worden. It is most likely that Jerusha Pierson is not recorded in any of the Pierson Family genealogies available on the internet.

Pierson-1124 also appears to be the same person as Pierson-955. They have the same mother and siblings. The date of birth varies and is a matter of speculation in "Pierson Millennium".

In "Pierson Millenium" p 175, Stephen Pierson, son of Sarah (Topping) and Theophilus Pierson, was moved by Capt. Eliphalet Budington from Bridgehampton to Stonington Connecticut in September 1776 after the British occupied Long Island during the Revolutionary War. In 1775 Stephen signed the Association of Americans against British Tyranny. The Bridgehampton Census 4 July 1776 lists Stephen and his wife as living east of the Watermill. If this information is correct, then Stephen did not die in 1769.
