Henry Pierson b. c. 1720 Bridgehampton, Suffolk Co., NY, and d. 1783, probably at Mendham Twp., Morris Co., NJ
Henry is mentioned in his father's will, which was written on September 7, 1743 and proved May 8, 1744. He is directed, along with his brothers, Stephen and Nathan, to find their mother "all necessaries as to bread and meat, fire wood and all other things except wearing clothes." He also left Henry, among other things, "the house and land that he now lives on, which house and land I had of John Pierson and Josiah Halsey".
Henry received land grants from the town of Southampton: in 1761 at Sagge Harbour's Twelve Acres; in 1763 at Aucaubogue Division in Topping's Purchase and in 1763 at the Little South Division of Southampton. (Town Records of Southampton).
Henry probably went to NJ about 1770 when his sons Shadrach and James were known to have gone there, as no further records of this Henry existed in Southampton.
He had children ("Genealogies of Connecticut Families", Vol 3, Genealogy Publishing Company, Baltimore, Maryland, 1983, p 254.)
Died Y. 1783 Mendham Township, Morris Co., New Jersey. Age: 67-68.
