Biography

Elizabeth was NOT a daughter of John Pigg. This relationship was based on a deed of sale of land at the going price. Nothing less - nothing more.

3 May 1663..John Pigg of Mattapony, New Kent Co., for £19 current money of England sold to John Mott & George Mott 365 acres of land on a branch of Dragon Swamp in Rappa adj land of Col William Claiborne called "Best Lands" [1]

Elizabeth (Pigg) Harrison was a Virginia colonist.

Elizabeth Pigg is the great, great, great, great, great, great grand mother of Harry Truman.[2]

Reference to the wife of James Harrison in 1690. He married the Relict (widow) of George Mott[3]

HARRISON, James (16??-1712) married circa Elizabeth MOTT, widow and executrix of George MOTT, deceased; she died before 27 Mar 1697. Their only child was Jael Harrison (167?-1733); she married (1) William WILLIAMS who died intestate in Essex County in 1712 and (2) Richard Johnson with whom she lived in Spotsylvania County on the Rappahannock River immediately opposite Ferry Farm, home of George Washingtons parents. Richard Johnson died intestate in 1726 and Jael (Harrison) Williams Johnson died testate in Spotsylvania County in 1733 survey of the Northern Neck of Virginia made for Thomas, Lord Fairfax, designates the estate as Williams and immediately opposite the Strother plantation which was purchased and occupied by Captain Augustine Washington in 1738. In 1745 a ferry was established from the Williams plantation across Rappahannock River to the Washington plantation and this continued to be a well accustomed passage for many years. [4]

BE IT KNOWN unto all men by these prsents that I ELIZABITH MOTT doe hereby make and appoynt WILLM. LAMBE my true & lawful! Attrny in my name & stead to acknowledge the land mentioned in two Bills of Sale the one to WILLM. GRIFFINS the other to DAVID BRUNAUGH of the Date of the 24th of April! 1671 each for three hundred & fifty acres of land to each of them & shall hould firme & valid wtsoever my said Attrny shall doe in the Prmises. In Witness whereof I have heareunto sett my hand & seale this 3d day of May 1671 Test RICHARD BOWING, ELIZA. MOTT [5]

Unknown-216561 and Pigg-3 do not represent the same person because: As indicated in my previous note, the Daughter Margarit is NOT of the Doniphan line and therefore her parents are not the same George Mott and Elizabeth Prigg....we now have merged away her father.
