Biography

.... on 14 May 1886 , my grandfather, Theodore George Joseph Pistorius was born. He became 92 years old. It is one of brothers on his shoulders. He was a remarkable man. He probably spoke most of the indigenous languages fluently. We loved him dearly. His name given to him by his farm employees was Magadi a tula (sp?). It means 'The shine of the bitter apple ' Lovely to look at but don't mess with me... I knew him as the most kind and God fearing man. He was hardworking and successful. He left a farm to five of his six children I recall. One daughter preferred not to own a farm.^[1]
