I was told for years that my grandparents were cousins, and found out it is true! Susan Coleman Webb had a daughter Minnie Webb. Minnie had a daughter Millie/Mildred(my Grandmother Wood) Meanwhile - - - Susan Coleman Webb's SISTER Julia Emma Coleman married Charles Cornelius Wood. THEY had a son Charles Malcolm Wood. So my mother Priscilla's mom, Mildred was her Dad's First Cousin, Grandmother Mildred was first cousins with her husband Malcolm, once removed. There's a census where it shows Grandfather Malcolm’s Mom Julia Living with her sister Susan after Susan's husband died. So I think those sisters stayed close so the cousins probably did grow up together. They were cousins' once removed. In other words he married his older cousins' daughter.
