Funeral service for Retta Mae Ploughe, 93, of Enid, will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, at Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at 3 p.m. in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Hutchison, Kan. Visitation 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, at the funeral home.

ENID, Okla. - Retta Mae Ploughe, 93, of Enid, Okla., passed away Jan. 20, 2014, in Enid, Okla.

Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 24, 2014, in the Henninger-Hinson Funeral Home, Enid, Okla., with Reverend Terry Chick officiating. Interment will follow at 3 p.m. in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery, Hutchinson, Kan. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014, at the funeral home.

Retta Mae was born July 1, 1920, in Hutchinson, Kan., to John Clinton and Letha Mae (Imel) Pitts. A resident of Enid for the past 45 years, she was very involved with Bible Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school and worked as Secretary/Bookkeeper for 35 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gayle Ploughe; her parents; three brothers, Melvin, Willis and Dale Pitts; and sister, Twyla Sell. Survivors include: brother, Royce Pitts and wife Glida of Bedford, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
