Biography

Marion Annette Plank was born on April 21, 1904, in Canastota, Madison, New York, to Frederick Plank and Lena Seville Barrett.[1] In 1905, she and her parents, were living next door to her maternal grandmother and widowed maternal aunt.[2] In 1915, the household was still located here, along with her younger sister, Ada.[3] At the time of the World War I draft in 1918, the family was living at 317 North Main Street in Canastota, Madison, New York.[4] Her parents were divorced sometime between then and 1920, as her father did not die until 1948, and her mother listed herself as "widowed" on subsequent census records.

In 1920, she, her mother, and her sister were living in Canastota, Madison, New York, next door to her maternal aunt's family.[5] She was married to Kenneth Rocker in Syracuse, Onondaga, New York, on August 21, 1924.[1] She and her new husband continued to live with her mother and sister at 315 North Main in Lenox, Madison County, through 1925.[6] In 1930, the family, including Annette's son, Keith, are living at 317 North Main Street in Canastota, Madison, New York.[7] They moved away from her family sometime before 1935, when they settled at 647 W Thomas Street in Rome, Oneida, New York, where they were still living in 1940.[8]

A burial plot is reserved for her beside her husband at Rome Cemetery in Oneida County, New York, but it is unknown when (or whether) she was buried here.[9]
