Biography

Jacob was born in 1829 in Lancaster county, Pennsylvania. He was the son of Samuel Plank and Sarah Bechtold.

He was living with a John Plank (brother?) in South Middleton township, Cumberland, Pennsylvania in 1850.[1] Note there was also a Jacob Plank in Monroe township in 1850 but he may be a different family group.

He married Esther "Hetty" Ann Burkholder on 24 Dec 1850 in Carlisle, Cumberland, Pennsylvania.[2] They had a large family.

They were in South Middleton township, Cumberland, Pennsylvania in 1860 and 1870.[3][4]

According to his obituary, they moved to Forsythe, Macon, Illinois in 1872, then in a year to Piper City, Ford, Illinois.

They were located in Piper City in 1880.[5]

He passed away in Piper City, Ford, Illinois in 1899.[6] He was buried in Brenton cemetery near Piper City in Ford county, Illinois.[7][8]
