Benjamin and Sarah were in Rowley/Byfield after their marriage and Benjamin relocated to Lincoln County, Maine. Benjamin purchased 100 acres in Lincoln County from Mr. Hussey in 1756. In a deposition made in 1811, his son Benjamin aged 66 years reported that his father died during the Revolution.[1]
On 28 March 1759 (recorded 22 March 1763), Benjamin Plummer, gentleman, then of Walpole, York County, Massachusetts (current Maine), in consideration of £166.6.8, sold 26 acres with dwelling house and barn in Byfield parish of Rowley to Parker Mooers.[2]
On 25 March 1779 (verified by Benjamin Plumer 17 August 1784), what appears to be son Benjamin sold a tract of land in Damariscotta to Nathaniel Chapman and Joseph Chapman for £100, part of the deed being “the said Benjamin Plumer do warrant to defend the same from my father’s Plumers heirs and assigns.”[3]
