Thomas Leonard (sometimes recorded as Leonard Thomas) was born on October 20th, 1897 in Wilberforce Township, Renfrew County, Ontario, Canada.
He was a farmer and lived in Pembroke in November 1917 when he was drafted into the military during the first World War. [1]
According to his military registration papers, he was 5'71/2", with fair complexion, grey eyes, and dark brown hair. [2]
