Edward Clarence Poe was born 1873 to the parents Henry Houston Poe and Mary Barham/Bacham/Basham. Mother's name spelling varies. On death certificate is Barham. In 1880 Edward was living in the Neills Creek area of Harnett County, North Carolina. In 1900 Edward is listed as living in Wewahitchka, Calhoun, Florida in the census. He is single and a boarder. Edward Clarence Poe was married between 1900 and 1903 to Mary "Lilly"Smith. In 1910 Edward was living in Higley, Lake, Florida. On the census he is married to Mary L. age 29. Three children Lee H. age 6, Mabel age 4 and Mary L. age 2. He is listed as owner of a Turpentine Farm. Edward's death was on July 6, 1916 in Saint Augustine, Saint Johns County, Florida.
