The biography for Judith Poe is empty. What can you add?
I grew up in South Bend, Indiana and then we moved to Michigan. I attended high school there and went on to Western Michigan University. I taught school there and met my first husband. He was a career Marine. We moved every three years and I had to leave my profession while I was moving and raising children. My children were born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, and Qunatico, Virginia while my husband was public affairs officer with the Marine corp. We then moved to New Mexico where I raised my children. I moved to Page, Arizona where I taught school and ran a store. I have had an exciting life in many ways but in 1988 my daughter and her husband had moved to Orlando, Florida for work. I came to Florida to be with my daughter and see my granddaughter born. I met my future husband and never went back west. I am now living in Orlando, Florida. So I have been in Washington politics, sat with high ranking Marine officers, and lived and worked with native American. I still run the book work and the business from a home office so I keep very busy. My husband works in the field. My one daughter that was born in Quantico,Virginia lives near Albuquerque, and my son lives in Texas. My oldest daughter is here in Florida. That is a simple short story. I have tried to find my grandmothers line but can't find her on ancestry.com. I don't want to pay for something that I can't find so I have given up and thought I would try here but no Woodard surname is listed here. I suppose I will have to find a professional person who can trace her ancestry. My daughter in New Mexico did a DNA for the mothers side of the family and came up with some strange DNA that we didn't know about. I do have the genealogy for my maternal grandfathers side of the family and the Poe and Vaughn side of the family but just can't fine a Mina Woodard any where that could be related. That is why I was looking here since we have spent so much money on ancestry.com I thought this might be my last chance to find her but she is not here either.
