Peter served in the military on 31 December 1862 in Murfreesboro, Rutherford, Tennessee, United States.^[4]

Peter died at the age of about 38 on 15 February 1863 in Atlanta, Fulton, Georgia, United States. Cause: from wounds suffered at the Battle of Murfreesboro.^[5]
