IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THIS IS A DUPLICATE OF ANOTHER OF ALEXANDER POOL'S SONS -- POSSIBLY A MIDDLE NAME. PRIMARY SOURCES FOR SIMEON POOL ARE VERY LIMITED, AND SECONDARY SOURCES ARE INHERENTLY LESS RELIABLE.

Public records for Simeon Pool are extremely limited. Most references are from secondary sources, which are much less reliable than primary reference sources. SINCE SEVERAL SOURCES OF INFORMATION ON THE ALEXANDER POOL FAMILY DO NOT LIST THIS "SIMEON" IT REMAINS POSSIBLE THAT THIS ENTRY IS IN ERROR (others have proposed that this is an "alternative" or "middle" name for another of the Pool boys.

Information of Simeon Pool is very sketchy -- he is believed to be approximately the same age as his brother Miles... it is liklely that elements of Simeon's biography would parallel his brother Miles ( of whom there is somewhat more information available). There is a later record of "a" Simeon Pool who fought in the Civil war -- I do not have any information to tie these lines together but it is possilble that this later "NC Simeon Pool" might have been a son or grandson of this Simeon Pool.

When Simeon Pool was born in 1790 in Virginia, his father, Alexander, was 40 and his mother, Anna, was 20. He had four brothers and six sisters. He died in 1860 at the age of 70.
