Thomas A. Pool was born the son of William P. and Susanna Pool around 1808 in Fairfield, South Carolina. He married Martha Susan Brewer in Monroe County, Georgia around 1833. They lived in Randolph county, Alabama for a while then came to Texas around 1840. Thomas served in the Texas Calvary during the civil War. Tom and Martha are buried in Stone Cemetery with no markers on their graves.
