Notes

WT Pool research notes: the following is my transcription of family records, written by Matthew Pool who was born in 1805 (some names and dates are hard to read, some transcription errors exist). Samuel Pool, son of William was born June 19, 1759. Agnes Pool, wife of Samuel Pool was born October 2, 1764. Penelope Pool, daughter of Samuel Pool was born by Agnes his wife May 11, 1783. Tabitha Pool was born on October 28, 1785. John Pool was born on November 6, 1788. Winifred Pool was born on January 23, 1792. Sary (Sarah) Pool was born on October 1, 1797. Martha Pool was born on January 5, 1800. James Gibson. son of Alexander Gibson and Winefred Gibson his wife was born December 15, the year of our lord 1794. (??) Phareby Pool was born May 15, 1802. Calmon ??? Yarboufrh 1797 (hard to read). Matthew Pool was born on January 28, 1805. Signed, Mathew Pool. These dates and birth records were handwritten by Mathew, son of Samuel C. Pool, Revolutionary War Veteran.

Probate for Winifred Pool Dunn in 1855 in Chambers County, Alabama, lists Winifred's living heirs. Sarah is listed as deceased with the last name of Sarah Hammack, and her children are listed. The children are William Pearson (deceased), Richmond Pearson, Mary Ann Pearson Smith, Samuel Pearson (deceased), Elijah M. Pearson, and Elisha Pearson. The children of deceased William Pearson are listed as Frances and John. The children of deceased Samuel Pearson are listed as Jack and Cordelia. Sarah was evidently married to a Pearson (or Pierson) and then re-married to a Hammack.

Pool-3615 and Pool-1901 appear to represent the same person because: married to same man?
posted by Beryl Meehan
Pool-1902 and Pool-1901 appear to represent the same person because: These profiles are the same with lots of information in common. The first names are not the same, but similar & there is no mention of a "Mary" in the profile of their Father, Samuel C Pool. Review these and merge as appropriate. Please notate in public comments if merge is rejected.

Thanks, Cindy Williams Lesure
