Note NI229Charles and his family lived at Murdock Grist Mill in the late 1880s which was about 500 ft. SE of the Md. Line, He was the Miller there..On May 31 And June 1,1889 the same storm systems that have brought heavy rains for two weeks to the five State area. On the same day of the Johnstown,Pa.Floods,the dam at the mill broke and destoried most of the mill.The family stayed on for another couple years. Then Charles and Elizabeth moved north into Bethesdia,Md.5510 at Lincoln Ave. Lawson and his children moved into NW Wash D.C. at O Street. Later moved to the Lincoln Ave.Homestead.
