Descendants of Howard Poole have had Y Chromosome tests and are indicated to be Y haplogroup G (F2885). Most researchers of this line believe this line ties to an early Elizabeth City County ("ECC") VA ine of Poole's. The profile manager suggests that the best evidence is that this line connects to the David Poole line (see Wikitree profile) ; David Poole is shown to have immigrated to ECC VA in approximately 1621.
