- Date of Birth: Massachusetts Town and Vital Records show Joseph was born to Samuel and Rebecca (Shaw) Pool on Dec. 21 1738. There is also a church record from The First Church of Abington indicating Joseph Pool was baptized Feb. 11 1738-9. Chronologically, it would have to be Feb 11 1739 for his baptism.
