Birkenhead Woman found fatally burned -on the 6th April,she was alone in the house and apparently had been putting down paraffin to get rid of a pest of ants. Some of the oil got onto her clothing which came in contact with a naked light. She was found lying in a passage at the side of her house badly buried and remained unconscious until her death in hospital some hours later. Submitted by Nicola Head

Beatrice was born in 1880. She was a daughter of William Poole and Mary Manning.
