Long time genealogist. My goal is to research all lines back to the ocean. I have many but not all of them. I came onto this when working the Thomas Deaton lines into NC. My wife and I both share the Burrell Deaton line, son of Capt. Wm Deaton, the Tory, who died at Cranes Creek, now Bloodrun Creek in Silar City, Chatham Co., NC.

Burrell Deaton owned land in Upper Moore Co., NC, some of which came down in time -- to my wife's line. We have these back a long ways, mostly work of old timers who gave us their material.

I noticed some very bad information regarding the Deaton lines, and have a lot to share in NC mostly, and back thru the Jackson line.

I uploaded a worksheet.ged which contains only some of my present efforts. Mostly in Montgomery Co., NC. Someone has broken into my machine and altered Deaton informatin on more than once. I feel this is happening locally.

There were 5 sets of Pools and my set from VA and prior from MA, had nothing to do with Poolsville, or he book mentioned here.
