Pope-1207 and Pope-721 should be merged as they appear to be clear duplicates with the only difference in information being the year of birth. Not sure if anyone has looked into this since the last comments on both profiles are over 5 years old

Ancestry.com claims that Elizabeth Pope Basye was born 1675 in Northumberland, Virginia. When I added her son John Basye to my tree on that site, her name popped up. Ancestry also added her father John Pope, b. 1646, Northumberland, Virginia, d. 20 Nov. 1723, Northumberland, Virginia. It also added her mother (maiden name Ball, 1650-1710), and her paternal grandparents (James Pope, 1621-1685, & Dorothy Dorcus, 1626-1690). Since the dates differ significantly, I will leave it up to someone else to verify.

Edmond Basye born in 1720 could not be the son of Elizabeth Basye who died in 1698.

Pope-721 and Pope-1207 do not represent the same person because: Ok, so there discrepancies in the dates for these two, yet they are associated with the same husband. It seems there might be a generational issue. Was the second Elizabeth married to the son Issac? Was the second Elizabeth, Elizabeth Pope and the older one LNAB Unknown? I haven't seen anything in the documents I have been looking at that say what Elizabeth's last name is other than Basie in john Popes Will. Mags

Pope-1207 and Pope-721 appear to represent the same person because: The dates are off, the correct dates are the earlier ones. I think that through previous merges these have all been lumped together. There is no information stating otherwise on either of the profiles. (See note above) Mags

Hey Vic, Steve and Lelia,

I have been asked to work on getting Elizabeth (Elizamon in her fathers Will - could be transcription error) wife of Issac merged. Do you have any sources or information that could help me with this? Other than ancestry. Thanks, Mags
