Biography

John William Francis Pope was born on 26 August 1884 in Havelock, Marlborough, New Zealand, his father, Henry, was 22 and his mother, Caroline, was 19. He married Ella Rose Williams in 1907 in Greytown, Wellington. They had nine children in 21 years. He died on 14 February 1955 in Greytown, Wellington, at the age of 70, and was buried in Waimarama, Hawke's Bay , New Zealand
