Biography

John Pope of Wroxton and Wilcot, co. Oxon (d. 24 Jun 1583; brother of Thomas Pope, founder of Trinity College, Oxford) was the son of William Pope of Deddington, Oxford and Margaret Yate. He m.(1) Anne Staveley (d. bef 1554), (2) Elizabeth Brocket, da. of Sir John Brocket of Brocket, Herts and (3) Jane Windham, da. of Sir Edmund Windham dsp. ^[1][2]
