Biography

Annie was baptised December 7, 1851 in Madras, Madras, Indian. She is the daughter of George Uglow Pope and Henrietta Page Van Someren.^[1]

Never married, she died at the age of 70 December 25, 1920 at Ashley Grange Nursing Home (Southcourt) Nursing Home in Broadstairs, Kent, England, ^[2][3]

She was buried January 16, 1920 at Holy Trinity, Horfield, Gloucestershire, England. ^[4]

Research Notes

The Probate document gives her date of death as December 25, 1920 and the parish register page for Holy Trinity, Horfield has been viewed and it most definitely shows that she was buried on January 16, 1920.

Since her death was registered in 1st Quarter 1920, it would seem that she probably died on December 25, 1919 rather than 1920. (MacKechnie-21 16:49, 7 February 2024 (UTC))
