On 6 Dec 1931 a man named P W Porter, aged 86 yrs, was buried at Cherry Grave.[4] P W is listed as the son of Tommy Porter of Alabama and Palistin Porter. [4] Further research indicates Palistin as mother is probably a data entry error at FamilySearch as P W was actually buried in Palestine, Cleburne County, Alabama, USA. Find A Grave
Descendants of Perry Warren Porter at Find-a-Grave claim this was their ancestor and that he was the son of Thomas and Mary.

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Thomas by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Thomas:
Also his date of birth was off by 20 days, looks like perhaps a typo. I have corrected it from 2 Dec to 22 Dec.
