Biography

Hannah was born on 10 Apr 1665 in Stratford, Fairfield, Connecticut to parents Nathaniel Porter and Hannah (Groves) Porter. She married Zachariah (Curtis) Curtiss about 1689. They had the following children:

  1. Hannah Curtiss 1691–1749
  2. Elizabeth Curtiss 1692–1776
  3. Isaac Curtiss 1695–1741
  4. Jonathan Curtiss 1697–1697
  5. Zachariah Curtiss 1697–1746
  6. Jeremiah Curtiss 1706–1795
  7. Abigail Curtiss 1711–Deceased
  8. Nathaniel Curtis (unsourced/unknown)

Hannah passed 14 Feb 1738 in Stratford, Fairfield, Connecticut and was buried at Old Congregational burying Ground, Stratford, Fairfield, Colony of Connecticut.

Inventory of Hannah Curtiss, "the wife of Mr. Zachariah Curtiss Late of Stratford" was taken on 3 April 1749 and recorded at Fairfield. Nathaniel Curtiss is the administrator of her estate.[1]
